Jamey T. Schrier, PT, OCS, DPT
Owner & President

Dr. Jamey T. Schrier is the Owner and President of Schrier Physical Therapy, Inc., with locations in Gaithersburg and Rockville, Maryland. He holds a Doctorate and Masters degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware. He has the unique distinction of being recognized as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics from the American Physical Therapy Association. Furthermore, Dr. Schrier is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Private Practice Section.

Dr. Schrier was named “Top Physical Therapist” in the January 2010 edition of the Washingtonian Magazine. In addition, he was a featured lecturer at the Private Practice Annual Conference in 2009 on “Leadership and Entrepreneurship” among physical therapists.

Dr. Schrier post-graduate training includes specialties in areas, such as, Trigger Point Therapy/Dry Needling and biomechanical assessment and treatment of the spine that include advanced manual therapy courses from Michigan State School of Osteopathy.

Dr. Schrier opened up Schrier Physical Therapy, Inc in 2001 with a vision to be recognized in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as a center of excellence for integrated and evidence-based programs for individual and community health, fitness, and rehabilitation.

Jamey is very passionate about the field of physical therapy. He believes physical therapy is the absolute best form of treatment for musculoskeletal conditions and is well-positioned to be, as the baby boom generation ages, the first choice for patients seeking healthcare professionals to handle the physical limitations and health concerns that will accompany them.

When Jamey is not at work, he enjoys playing basketball and golf, and spending time with his family – wife Colleen, son Jack and daughter Gracie.

Natalie is the clinical director for Schrier Physical Therapy. She is passionate about rehabilitation and was in the first graduating class of the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Montgomery College. She graduated with high honors as first in her class in 1996.
 
With extensive postgraduate education, certifications in manual therapy (CIMT) and trigger point dry needling (IMT) and more than 14 years of practice, Natalie specializes in treating the body holistically. She utilizes a comprehensive array of manual techniques, gait and orthotic analysis, and advanced corrective exercises to address chronic and acute sports injuries, myofascial pain syndromes, biomechanical asymmetries and post-operative orthopedic conditions.

Natalie’s integrated approach to orthopedic rehabilitation is sought after by many medical practitioners. As a competitive triathlete and enthusiastic teacher she enjoys working with beginner to elite level and professional athletes and a broad spectrum of visual and performing artists. 
 
Natalie was a member of the Advisory Board for the Medical Careers Program at the Edison High School of Technology. She has been interviewed and quoted in Swimmer Magazine and has developed dry land training programs for coaches of elite level competitive swim teams. She is also bilingual, Spanish being her second language.
 
In her down time Natalie enjoys racing triathlons with the support of her husband Joshua and participating in a volunteer educational work together.

Originally from San Francisco, Ca, Teoma Taylor is a Physical Therapist committed to providing excellent treatment to those under her care. Teoma received her Masters degree in physical therapy from Howard University, and her B.S. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. As a former NCAA Div 1 college basketball player, Teoma has always had a love for physical therapy and working with athletes. Her passion has since expanded to working within fitness, health, and wellness as she is currently pursuing American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) certification as a Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES). Teoma’s post- graduate training includes course work in manual trigger point examination and treatment and the Maitland approach to basic spinal assessment and treatment. Also, her student research on physical therapists and personal trainers as health promotion professionals was accepted for presentation as a poster at APTA’s Preview 20/20 (Summer 2009). 

While at San Jose State University Teoma served as captain of the woman’s basketball team. While at Howard University she served as Class Liaison to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the DC chapter of the physical therapy association (DCPTA), and remains a member of both organizations today. Away from physical therapy Teoma enjoys writing, working out, spending time out-doors, and continues to play basketball when she can!
Nicole Clark- PT - Physical Therapist

Nicole is originally from Danbury, Connecticut and became interested in physical therapy through her experience as a competitive swimmer and runner. Nicole earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 2003, graduating with honors. Her thesis was accepted at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in 2004. Since 2006, Nicole has continued her education by working toward her Ph.D. in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Her research is focusing on outcomes in athletes with overuse injuries. Other post-graduate clinical education and interests include Intramuscular Manual Therapy, advanced treatment of the foot and ankle, orthotic fitting, and joint mobilization.
 
Nicole has been working with athletes through her entire career. In 2002, she earned her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credentials through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  As a graduate student, Nicole was place in a clinic where she worked with professional athletes, including football, baseball, and hockey players, at a large sports medicine hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Nicole is active in the community by spreading information about injury prevention. Her efforts include organizing Runner’s Clinics for the active-duty military in Key West, Florida. 
 
Nicole started competing in triathlons shortly after graduating college, when she moved to San Diego. Nicole is active in the triathlon and swimming communities locally. She coaches for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club, and trains for long course triathlons.
Ashley Robinson

Ashley is from Lucerne Valley, CA (small desert town about 100 miles Northeast of Los Angeles).  She went to school at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and received her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation. Ashley is the Physical Therapy Aide at the Kentlands location. She enjoys watching movies with her husband and dancing.

Emily is the physical therapy aide at the Rockville clinic. She is graduating from Frostburg State University this spring in 2010, receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Emily enjoys skiing, dancing, bicycling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Jason is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland-College Park campus.  He is studying Kinesiology with pre-physical therapy. He hopes to get into a physical therapy school after graduating. Jason is one of the Physical Therapy Aides at Schrier Physical Therapy. He loves to go snowboarding on the slopes, play basketball and golf during the summer.

Fred Taylor brings over 20 years of experience in writing and implementing policy and procedures for both small and large companies. He has many years of experience in supervising staffs of up to 85 employees. Fred's primary responsibilities at Schrier are implementing policy and procedures for staff and ensuring staff adherence to procedures established. He is also responsible for reviewing resumes and interviewing potential new employees. Fred attended Lane College in Jackson, TN majoring in business administration. In his spare time, Fred enjoys playing basketball and reading spy novels.

Front Desk Coordinator  - Kentlands

Krista is the Front Desk Coordinator at the Kentlands Office.  She handles all patient scheduling, verification of benefits, and billing inquiries.  Krista grew up in Rockville, MD, and currently lives in Gaithersburg.  She is working towards her Medical Coder/Abstractor/Biller Certification at Montgomery College.  Krista enjoys going to the movies, reading, and working out!

Grace was raised in Springfield, Virginia and came to Maryland in 2004 only to go back to Virginia to attend college at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is now back in Maryland working as a Front Desk Coordinator for Schrier PT. It's her role to greet you with a 5-star smile and make sure your visits are as smooth as possible. While Grace is not working, you can usually find her on the mountain, shredding some powder or on the football field grabbing flags on defense.

Colleen is a native of Rockville, Maryland and graduated from Academy of the Holy Cross.  She earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University.  Her role at SPT is to assist in Marketing and any fun, creative events!  Colleen’s full time job is taking care of her kids, Jack & Gracie.  She loves to dance, kick box, and transform her house into a beach cottage.

Jessica grew up in San Jose, CA. She majored in Nutritional Sciences at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After graduation she moved out to explore the East Coast. Jessica is the Marketing Representative for Schrier Physical Therapy. You may also catch her at the front desk or aiding. Hopefully one day she’ll be your PT! Outside of SPT, you may find Jessica watching a hockey game (Go Sharks!), dancing to country music or trying to find a beach!

Sabatino Artesi is a graduate from The Baltimore School of Massage and is nationally certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and the C.H.E.K Institute as a Corrective High-Performance Exercise Kinesiologist and Holistic Lifestyle Coach,  He has been practicing therapeutic massage in the clinical setting since 2002 specializing in the chronic pain management  care are of muscular imbalance syndromes. 

Sabatino’s goal is to always implement the skills he has acquired into a whole body functionally-integrative holistic approach in order to promote the best healing and or conditioning response from his clients.  His work reflects attention to detail in the evaluation and assessment of each clients individual conditions and concerns. His clientele includes people from all walks of life including MD's, DC's, PT's, CMT's, CPT's, athletes from various sport disciplines and the general public at large.  He continually strives to improve his education, attending numerous intensive training seminars each year, learning from and working with only the best in the business so that his clients receive only the best of service.  

As a teenager, Sabatino competed in the sport of power lifting under the ADFPA (American Drug Free Power Lifting Association) in the state of California (where he was originally born and raised) setting numerous records in three different weight classes for the bench press and dead lifting events, one of which held for ten years. He has black belts in the martial arts of Aikido and Goshin Jitsu Jiu-Jitsu and is currently a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu having competed in the NAGA (North America Grappling Association) no-gi submission wrestling world championship in 2004. He has trained under such famed names as the Gracie's and Ken Shamrock's Lion's Den, both based out of Northern California. 

In his spare time Sabatino enjoys working out, watching movies and reading.

Phil Silberman has been a certified personal trainer for the past 15 years. Certifications include MGFI (Master Golf Fitness Instrucor) and ACE (American Council on Exercise) Phil enjoys working with people of all age ranges and abilities to help them achieve incredible fitness results. Phil utiilizes innovative ideas and a wealth of experience to design individualized programs to get his clients to match and often exceed their goals. Phil has extensive experience in training athletes from his days as fitness manager of ClubGolf at the Rio complex in Gaithersburg, MD as well as working with pre and post rehab clients at Lakewood Country Club. Phil currently also trains clients in their homes as well as at Fitness First Health clubs.
